ISOBUS gateway – efficient smart farming made easy
The ISOBUS gateway allows the ISOBUS functionalities relevant to smart farming to be integrated in the control programme for agricultural attachments. Thanks to the ISOBUS function library provided , visualisation for the attachment can be configured quickly and conveniently using CODESYS. No special ISOBUS know-how is necessary at any point.
Thanks to optimised data processing, only the values to be visualised on the tractor unit’s display are transmitted. This considerably reduces the load on the data bus. Incidentally, the tractor does not need to have a new display for this purpose either. The existing device can be used. Another advantage is the preconfigured visualisation, which makes an additional mask designer obsolete.
The ISOBUS gateway can be conveniently connected via an M12 connector. Can ISOBUS be retrofitted? This can be done simply with the ISOBUS gateway, as it can be easily connected with any ifm mobile controller via the CAN interface.

In addition to the virtual terminal and the AUX-N function (auxiliary control function), the TC-Basic, TC-Geographic and TC-Section Control automation functions of the smart farming interface "Task Controller" can also be fully used via the ISOBUS gateway.
And what is the advantage?
With TC-BAS, total machine usage values can be collected. These include, for example, the spreading length and the absolute spread quantity. Using TC-GEO, the target spread rate is determined to the nearest centimetre based on the current position. Precision spreading is therefore no problem. At the same time, position-controlled documentation is produced for the work done. With TC-SC, overlapping or double spreading is also avoided through active section control.
These functionalities significantly reduce the workload for the machine operator, reduce material costs to the minimum necessary and protect the environment from oversaturation. By using the display installed in the tractor, current process data is made available live and interaction with the machine is enabled.
