ecomatController: Powerful mobile controllers – safe and non-safe

Heat, cold, dirt or constant vibration – mobile machines are often exposed to extreme environmental conditions. The harsh conditions are a challenge for all the components used, but are no problem for the ecomatController. The compact and robust metal housing optimally protects the controller from external influences.
Perfectly protected on the outside, the inner qualities of the controller are also impressive. While powerful 32-bit microcontrollers ensure very short cycle times, no application programme is too complex for the large program memory. The ecomatControllers also run complex algorithms reliably and without any problems.
TÜV-certified safety – fast and simple
All safety versions of the ecomatController are certified for functional safety to SIL 2 (IEC 62061), PL d (EN ISO 13849-1), ASIL C (IEC 26262) and AgPL d (ISO 25119). Two independent controllers – one for standard and one for safety applications – in one device enable simple and efficient implementation of even complex safety concepts. The provision of TÜV-certified safety libraries and function blocks also reduces the amount of programming and documentation required for safety functionalities.

Simple
ecomatControllers can be programmed simply and conveniently with CODESYS 3.5 in accordance with IEC 61131-3. This alone saves time while the provided function libraries are guaranteed to boost efficiency.
Flexible
Configurable I/O ports: digital, analogue, PWM

The ecomatController is the beating heart of a mobile machine. Placed directly in its element outside on the machine or hidden out of sight in the control cabinet, it continuously delivers top performance. With up to 124 configurable inputs and outputs, it is also ideally suited for complex applications.
In addition to digital inputs and outputs, all ecomatControllers also feature analogue ports. And what if you need things to go quickly? No problem for the robust mobile controllers – the inputs can also be used for fast signals up to 30 kHz. All inputs and outputs are reliably protected against faults and overloads to ensure that nothing goes wrong, even in the event of major challenges.
All ecomatControllers also feature several CAN interfaces. Data can be transferred to decentralised input / output modules (e.g. ioControl) or a robust HMI (e.g. ecomatDisplays) via these interfaces using the CANopen protocol. As they have several CAN interfaces, ecomatControllers can also be used as gateways, allowing control and diagnostic data from engines, for example, to be processed directly via SAE-J1939 protocol. Not only can service and maintenance tasks be completed quickly via two Ethernet interfaces, but selected protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP/IP, Modbus UDP and customised extracts from CIP Safety can also be used.
